The European Route d'Artagnan is the first European cultural equestrian route which connects Lupiac (1 - Gers), birthplace of the famous musketeer d'Artagnan, to Maastricht (Netherlands) where the latter was killed. The itinerary, made up of 32 thematic routes, crosses 6 countries, including France (with two routes passing through Saumur Val de Loire), Italy, Belgium, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. Eventually, more than 6 marked km will be open to riders across Europe.
